Netbooks by Memory: Compare Prices on 512Mb, 1Gb, 2Gb RAM

512Mb RAM netbooks

512Mb Memory Netbooks

A netbook with 512Mb of RAM will be fine if all you want to do is surf the web, write emails, IM and bang out a few documents. The more memory you have, the faster your computer will run and the more programs you can have open at one time. We wouldn't go any smaller than 512Mb though. Don't confuse RAM memory with the amount of storage space you have on your hard drive though. RAM memory is like short term memory - it helps applications to store loads of information while you're writing a word doc for example. Hard drive memory is only used when you save your word doc to the hard drive.
1Gb RAM Netbooks

1Gb Memory Netbooks

This is pretty much the standard amount of RAM for netbooks. It's great for everyday application like emailing and surfing the web, but can also handle stuff like watching youtube videos very respectably.
2Gb RAM Netbooks

2Gb Memory Netbooks

As netbooks become more popular - people are expecting more from them. A 2Gb netbook will handle anything you can throw at it, even basic video editing and photoshopping.
