Asus Eee PC 4G Netbook

The ASUS Eee PC 4G comes with Linux preinstalled on its 4GB of solid state flash memory. The solid state drives lack of moving parts means it makes next to no noise and will not be upset by banging about in a rucksack or suitcase.

The flash memory also means you can get straight into the action with super-quick bootup times and connecting to the internet and email is easy with the onboard Wi-Fi LAN and if you like to chat with friends and colleagues online you can use the built-in webcam for simple video conferencing.

The ASUS Eee PC 4G has all the connection options you would expect from a larger laptop including three USB ports, VGA port for hooking up a monitor, headphone and mic jacks and a memory card slot. Battery life is a reasonable 3.5 hours and the machine runs a 900 MHz Intel Mobile CPU with integrated Intel graphics processor and 512 MB of RAM - although this is not upgradable.
